Precautions for Using Microwave Oven

Microwave oven is a popular electrical appliance. Its appearance helps people reduce the time they spend in the kitchen. It can quickly warm up the delicious food and give it to you to eat. It saves you time to prepare a good meal. This is very convenient for you who are busy with work. When using it, we still need to pay attention to some dangerous actions. The following is a brief list of matters needing attention in microwave ovens.

Generally, high temperature is easy to melt (plastic), explosive (boiled eggs) and metal articles cannot be put into microwave oven. Specific operation taboos are the following!

1. Avoid using ordinary plastic containers. One is that hot food will deform plastic containers. Second, ordinary plastics will produce toxic substances. These toxic substances will enter food. They will be absorbed by the human body, affecting human health.

2. Avoid using metal utensils, such as iron, aluminum, stainless steel and enamel. These articles may generate sparks during heating, reflecting the microwaves back. This will not only fail to heat the food, but also damage the microwave oven.

3. Avoid using closed containers. Wide-mouth containers should be used when heating liquid. When heating in a closed container, the heat evaporated from the food will not be easily dissipated. This leads to excessive pressure in the container, which may lead to explosion accidents. Never heat food like this.

4. Avoid overtime heating. The food is thawed or heated in the microwave oven. If you forget to take out the food for more than 2 hours, it is recommended to throw it away. There may be a risk of food poisoning if eaten.

5. Avoid heating the meat to half cooked before heating it in microwave oven. Bacteria still grow in half-cooked food. When the microwave oven is used for heating, the heating time is too short to kill all bacteria in the food. Frozen meat must be thawed in the microwave oven before cooking.

6. Avoid re-freezing the meat thawed in the microwave oven. After the meat is thawed in the microwave oven, the outer layer of the food has been heated at low temperature. Bacteria can reproduce at this temperature. Frozen environment inhibits the reproduction of bacteria, but cannot kill bacteria. Meat that has been thawed in the microwave oven needs to be cooked first.

7. Avoid fried food. Fire can be caused by high temperature oil splashing. If there is a fire in the microwave oven, don't open the oven door first. Turn off the power first! When the fire goes out, open the oven door to cool down.

8. Avoid placing the micro-stove in the bedroom. Don't cover the heat dissipation window grate on the microwave oven with articles.

9. Avoid working in front of the microwave oven for a long time.

The above is a brief introduction to some precautions in the use of microwave ovens. Microwave ovens bring convenience to our life. We also need to use it safely in order to better bring convenience to our life.
